Scissor Lift Lifting Cylinder | EP-HCYY11112003 Model
Scissor Lift Lifting Cylinder
EP-HCYY11112003 · Bore Φ63–75mm · Stroke 563–1,269mm
The cylinder that pushes a scissor lift platform to working height. Mounted between the base frame and the lowest scissor arm, it extends through up to 1,269 mm of stroke — unfolding the stacked scissor mechanism and raising the work platform to heights of 6 to 12 metres. One cylinder, one stroke, one platform full of workers and tools at height.

▲ Scissor Lift Lifting Cylinder | EP-HCYY11112003 ModelHow the Scissor Lift Cylinder Raises the Platform

A scissor lift uses a crisscrossing "X" pattern of linked arms — like a lazy tongs mechanism. The lifting cylinder is mounted horizontally or at a low angle between the base frame and the bottom pivot of the lowest scissor arm. When the cylinder extends, it pushes the bottom scissor pivot outward, which forces the scissor arms to unfold upward — raising the platform.
The geometry creates a significant mechanical advantage at low heights (when the scissor is nearly folded flat) and a decreasing advantage as the platform rises. This means the cylinder must produce its maximum force at the start of the stroke — where the scissor angle is smallest and the leverage is worst. The 18 MPa working pressure and Φ63–75 mm bore ensure sufficient force through the entire elevation range.
A holding valve locks the platform at any height without continuous hydraulic pressure. Lowering is controlled by metering the return oil flow, providing a smooth, controlled descent. The platform cannot drop even under complete hydraulic failure — the holding valve traps the oil in the cylinder, supporting the platform and everything on it. Why Scissor Lifts Are the Safest Aerial Platform
Scissor lifts move only vertically — unlike boom lifts, which extend outward. This vertical-only movement creates inherent stability advantages:
The platform rises straight up, directly above the base frame. The load and workers remain within the machine's footprint at all times — unlike a boom lift where the platform extends outward, shifting the centre of gravity.
The scissor geometry locks naturally when extended — the arms form a rigid structure that supports the platform even without hydraulic pressure. The cylinder holding valve provides an additional safety layer, but the mechanical structure itself resists collapse.
The vertical-only design allows larger platforms (up to 4+ m long) with higher load capacities (up to 1,000 kg) than equivalent boom lifts. Multiple workers with tools and materials can occupy the platform simultaneously.

Key Advantages
- 3 specifications for 6–12 m platforms — the Φ63×563 mm stroke covers compact 6–7 m scissor lifts; the Φ65×840 mm stroke covers mid-range 8–10 m units; the Φ75×1,269 mm stroke covers large 12 m platforms with heavier payloads.
- Holding valve for platform safety — a pilot-operated check valve traps oil in the cylinder, locking the platform at any height. Even if the hydraulic pump stops or a hose fails, the platform stays up. Workers at height depend on this valve.
- 27 MPa maximum withstand pressure — 1.5× safety factor handles dynamic loads from wind gusts, worker movement, and tool operation at height. Scissor lift cylinders experience more dynamic loading than static cylinders.
- ⚡ High rod ratio on the Φ75 specification — the Φ75×Φ63 model has an 84% rod ratio, providing the column stiffness needed for the 1,269 mm stroke under heavy platform loads. The thick rod resists buckling at full extension.
- Hard-chrome rod, precision seals — scissor lift cylinders are exposed to outdoor weather, dust, and construction debris. The hard-chrome rod and high-performance seals resist corrosion and contamination for reliable operation in harsh job-site conditions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Our Customers Say
"Replaced lifting cylinders on 12 scissor lifts in our rental fleet. The Φ65×840 specification matched our 10 m platforms perfectly. Smooth lift, solid hold at height, no drift after 8 months of rental use."
D. Clarke — Rental Fleet Manager, UK
"The holding valve passed our third-party safety inspection on every unit — no platform drift at maximum height with full load. This is critical for our construction site safety compliance."
P. Brandt — Safety Engineer, Germany
"Good quality at around 35% below OEM price. The Φ75×1269 stroke for our 12 m scissor lifts — the largest specification — handles the heavy payload without any rod deflection. Rod chrome finish is excellent."
R. Almeida — Maintenance Director, Brazil
"We ordered both lifting and steering cylinders for the same scissor lift fleet — single supplier, single delivery. All cylinders passed our incoming inspection. Korea Ever-Power's test certificates are thorough."
J. Virtanen — Procurement, Finland
"The Φ63×563 specification fits our compact 6 m scissor lifts used in warehouse maintenance. The short stroke keeps the cylinder compact, and the lift is fast enough for our indoor applications."
S. Nakamura — Facilities Manager, Japan
